Mountain View Golf Course recently hosted the first annual Webster County Community Fund golf tournament.  The tournament winners were Eric Carpenter and David Vandevender, followed in second place by Wesley Carpenter and Donnie Mullins with Darren Cool and Wesley Wayne finishing up in third place.

Dear Golfers,

The 2004 golf season is quickly approaching.  We look forward to opening up the clubhouse as soon as the spring weather hits for another full season of fun on the greens!  This year will bring even more excitement to the Mountain View Golf Course, including special dinners and regular monthly tournaments.  We will also be offering golf lessons for those that are new to the game or might just need to improve their swing a little.

The Staff and Management of the Mountain View Golf Course

Webster County High School and Mountain View Golf Course entered into a school and business partnership on January 16.  Mr. Ed Snyder, the general manager of Mountain View and the golf coach of the Webster County Highlander golf team, signed the agreement with Ms. Paula Varney, Principal at WCHS.  Mr. Snyder has donated the use of the golf course, equipment and transportation to the WCHS golf program.  He has also agreed to visit the high school and teach part of the golf unit in the physical education class.

"We are most fortunate to have a golf course in Webster County, and we are equally fortunate to have someone with Mr. Snyder's expertise agreeing to support Webster County High School," commented Jerry W. Young, Athletic Director at WCHS.
