The 7th hole at MVGC is a short straightaway par 4 that starts out with a blind tee shot over some very heavy rough into a fairway that rises up in the middle and slopes from right to left as you approach the green. The trick to this hole is to land your ball about 5-10 yards in front of the green and let the hillside slow your ball down as it rolls down to the green.

Both sets of tees are located side-by-side next to the number 6 green. The only danger on this hole is a tee shot that is too long or to the left. Tee shots to the left will likely roll down the hillside into the rough, but depending on where they stop, there may still be a good chance to get the ball on the green in two. Because of the downhill approach to the green, you may need a little less club that you think to reach this green from the tee.

The green on this hole is very large and very flat, making almost any ball that lands on it a potential one-putt. This hole provides a great opportunity for a birdie and with a well-placed tee shot, an eagle.
